A.C.E. Diagnosis and Prescription
Are your students truly mastering the foundational skills in Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Science, and Spelling? Could there be potential learning gaps that have yet to be identified? The Accelerated Christian Education® diagnostic assessments begin with fundamental concepts and progress to more advanced cognitive tasks. Successful completion of these assessments demonstrates preparedness for high school-level curriculum.
Just as a doctor must assess a patient’s medical needs before prescribing appropriate treatment, it is essential to evaluate a student’s academic needs prior to recommending the most suitable curriculum. Accurate academic diagnosis and tailored instruction are critical to ensuring a student’s success.
Each student entering the A.C.E. program undergoes diagnostic assessments to evaluate their mastery of skills and concepts. These assessments aid the evaluator in identifying the student’s academic needs across all subjects. Following the diagnostic testing, the student is provided with a curriculum tailored to their performance level, designed to both meet and challenge their individual academic capabilities.
The diagnostic assessments evaluate five academic areas: Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Science, and Spelling. These assessments focus on foundational skills typically mastered prior to high school.
When areas of weakness are identified through testing, the corresponding gap PACEs are assigned to address and reinforce specific deficiencies. Upon completion of the gap PACEs, the student advances according to their performance level. If the student demonstrates mastery across all levels of assessment, they are capable of functioning at their chronological grade level.
